 Wall Mount Faucet

You have some variety to choose from when purchasing clawfoot tub faucets. You will need to decide if you want a tub mounted faucet or one that mounts on the wall. This will depend entirely on where you want to place your tub. If your tub is up against the wall you will get to choose between the two.

-Tub Mount Faucet

Tub mounted faucets are true to the antique styling of this tub. If the tub is in the middle of the room, a wall mounted faucet is not an option. This will mount on tubs with pre-drilled holes on the side of the tub.

  -Deck Mount Faucet

This style is for tubs with the holes drilled on the rim of the tub. This faucet type also works for built-in tubs as well as whirlpools.

-Freestanding Faucets

These floor mounted styles are a great choice for any clawfoot bathtubs that do not have any holes drilled for faucets.

-Faucet Spouts

Almost if not all of these faucets come with a gooseneck spout. It’s the long curved spout from where the water will come out. It is an elegant, easy design that looks good with the antique, Victorian styling of clawfoot bathtubs. These spouts are available in different heights too so consider which would look best. High spouts are available as well as lower ones.

-Handshower Faucet Attachments

Sometimes a soak in the tub just doesn’t cut it. A practical style faucet available for clawfoot tubs is one with the handshower faucet. This is similar to the regular ones except it has an attachment for a shower head you can move around. This allows you to actually wash up after a bath with ease. Most of these hand showers are designed in the style of the British telephone

-Clawfoot Tub Faucet Handles

These handles are accompanied by inserts for the “hot” and “cold” levers so you know which handle is for which line of water. The higher end ones are made of porcelain to match the porcelain bathtub. A majority of these are quarter turn levers or ease of operation, however, rotating knob style ones are available too.

Prices on faucets for these clawfoot tubs range in price a great deal. You can find them anywhere from about $50 to over $3000-4000 and every price point in between.
